Incline Village Real Estate 11/18/18

Things finally started to slow down a little bit on the Incline Village real estate market.  There were only 4 new listings and 6 price adjustments in the past week.  Sales activity was still reasonably good for this time of year.  5 properties went into escrow (4 of them of the luxury variety) and they ranged in price between just under $600,000 and $3,950,000.

The annual Incline Village Realtors installation breakfast was held on Friday, November 16.  At this event the new officers and board of directors had their swearing-in ceremony while the real estate community enjoys a tasty brunch served up at The Chateau at the Incline Village Championship Golf Course.  Sabrina was sworn in as the new President for the Incline Village Realtors.  She gave an excellent speech on the theme for the coming year which is all about the importance of community.

New Listings Price Changes In Escrow Closed Escrow

Turning to the nuts and bolts of the real estate business, Incline Village real estate agents will be using a new purchase agreement along with some revised forms when conducting transactions.  The movement to improve our forms began several years ago and has culminated with this latest round of changes.    All of the local brokers and agents will be spending time learning the new documents which will be available online.  This will hopefully be a big improvement over the old Zip Forms technology that was loved by some and loathed by many.

Checking out the new listings on the Incline Village real estate scene there is one property that luxury buyers will want to scope out.  Located at 1096 Tiller just one block from Lakeshore Drive is a stunning 6 bedroom, 5.5 bath, 4929 square-foot home.  Super high-end finishes throughout this “mountain modern” style house make it a place worth visiting.  Features include cathedral ceilings, enormous windows to bring in lots of natural light, a spacious deck with barbecue and fire pit, plus a three-car garage.  Offered at $4,250,000.

We would like to finish this weekly Incline Village real estate blog post with a Thanksgiving wish for all of the people who were impacted by the Camp Fire that devastated Paradise California and the surrounding area.  Lives are always more important than property and our hearts go out to everyone affected by this catastrophic fire.

To all of our readers we hope that you have a wonderful Happy Thanksgiving holiday!
